Bikes in Schools

The Self-regulation Classroom Cruiser is designed to provide opportunities for students, grades PreK-6, to self-regulate through movement without having to leave or disrupt the class. The Cruiser helps students who need to get the wiggles out so they can refocus and engage in learning.  Self-regulation Classroom Cruisers have been used in classrooms and libraries, or just about anywhere in a school where needed.

In Libraries

Self-regulation Classroom Cruisers have seen success in libraries, creating a space where students can learn and move at the same time.

Halifax Libraries now have two bikes at Alderney Gate Public Library (Floor 2); and two at Halifax North Memorial Public Library.

Testimonials

“There are a lot of flexible seating options out there, but not many that allow your students to exercise and learn at the same time. I also noticed that after a ride on the Classroom Cruiser, my students were more on-task and productive. I’m not sure who loves it more, my students or me!”

-Kristina Zucchino, 4th grade teacher, Greensboro, NC

“You are doing exercise and working on here… so your brain is focusing on this instead of your brain kind of running all around.”

-Noah, a student in Mrs. Clifford’s grade 2 and 3 class
